Im new at this, but im kinda confused. I record a track on a microphone through my zero latency interface, it goes to the computer, and into the software. But then I get the rest of the tracks coming from the speakers into the microphone too. Then say I want to eliminate bass in the song because it sucks. I can then hear some bass in the microphone track. Help!

True, headphones help out a great deal when recording in such a small space.

Yeah, a decent pair of cans, if you're in the same room. You don't want any bleeding or too much bleeding that any decent mic will pick up!

To be a little more specific, closed headphones will eliminate the most of that bleed, but you may want semi-open so that you can hear yourself in the room a bit. Depends on what you want to hear while performing.
