For the Artists

I'm working on this too.

This is a more serious project.

Could you splain that, Lucy? It looks interesting but I'd like to know more about the dimensions, the media, the process, etc.

And get a real camera! It will open up a world of possibilities, including taking decent photos of your art and your head.

Cell phone cameras are for girls, businessmen, japanese tourists, and drunken college students. :)

Tattoos I've made, those are a couple of years ago though....

Click things under "Jouni"...d'oh...

I've drawn and painted shit too, bad photos of them..
Also made some metal sculpting by welding when worked as a welder... birds, flowers and shit...

...this forum can't take imagesizes for shits worth.....:(

Well, see, he got a real big photo that someone else took, and now he's copying it with the aid of rudimentary mathematics and intersecting horizontal and vertical lines. When he's done, he's going to sign his own name on it, and cheapen this thing we call art just a little bit more.

J/Kidding. I, too, would like to know more. I'm in the middle of doing pencil portraits of someone's beloved dog for some extra cash. Fun job!

I can't tell if he's posting the original and his version or what. It doesn't look bad, although you're right on the originality score.

I read about this. It's called 'reflectoporn'. Like when you take a picture of a chrome kettle that you are selling on ebay, and 'accidentally' (wink wink) make sure that your naked wang is reflected in the shiny surface. then you sit at home getting your kicks thinking about all the housewives who click on your auction thinking, "Oh wow, a chrome kettle," but then end up seeing your distorted, reflected junk.

Yeah, Myhatbroke, King of Reflectoporn

WTF? What's so hard to believe that I'm drawing these things.

By the way, the big one is the drawing.

The process: Not sure what it's called but I scraped some of that coal stuff all over the paper and so far all I've done is erase out the black. I guess it's from black to light technique. I've never done it before but I'm liking it. After I get all the blacks and lights done, I'm going to detail it with other pencils. I really hope it turns out photographic.

Could you please repeat this in the cave.

So what's with the grid on the first charcoal drawing?

It's called "working into a dark field" or "the subtractive method." Well, at least that's what printmakers call it.

And if you start doing or even saying "Frottage" I'm going to have to leave. :p

If you did those drawings and pictures, that's pretty cool, Hat. I have no talent for that stuff. I even print now, almost totally forgot how to write. I type like a mofo, though.

Yeah I print too. I haven't written in "cursive" since I was like 9 years old. My kids are learning it now, and I can't help them. :D
