What is your favorite song to sing?
Most of my own compositions LOL, cover song: Someday Baby, the Blues Band Version from the Official Bootleg Album.
Alan.
Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain. It’s one of my favorites. Easy to play on acoustic, easy to sing.
Moondance . Fun to play and sing. Second favorite..........Back In The USSR.
Just A Song Writer..........
It's usually whatever [cover] I'm working on trying to learn (i.e., remember the words to) because I don't bother with songs that don't get my motor running on some level. But, they sometimes fade (brief flings) once I've done them a time or three. Then I always come back to something by Guy Clark, with The Cape or Dublin Blues probably in the top 3 along with Willin' by Lowell George.
"... I know in the mornin' that it's gonna be good
when I stick out my elbows and they don't bump wood." - Bill Kirchen
I find myself singing one of my own tunes when I am running about.
Recently, Mary Jane's Last Dance...everyone says I sound like Tom Petty anyway...and Can't Find My Way Home by Blind Faith. Our acoustic trio does them.
Whatever I'm capable of.
In not a singer, its a struggle for me. I can sing just well enough to convey the feel and melody of a song I'm writing.
Then the pro takes over and actually sings it.
Oddly enough, despite my vocal shortcomings, I'm trying to learn Get By With A Little Help From My Friends (Joe Cocker version)
Boy that's tough. None of the guys I play with are willing to take that one on. Lol![]()
mine has to be bohemian rhapsody
Jellyfish 'Hush'. More of a daddy daughter bedtime song that personal... We both fall asleep.
