It’s Just Been Sunset
When I am laying in my bed,
I lock my door so I can rest.
From all the voices in my head,
That scream at me from my doorstep.
They say “your day’s not done yet,”
They say “its just been sunset.”
The irony is that time will tell,
But only when you hear “ding, dong” goes the bell.
When I am laying in my bed,
I close my blinds so I can rest.
From all the sights; their in my head,
That leer at me from my window ledge.
They show my day’s not done yet,
They show its just been sunset.
The irony is that time will tell,
But only when you hear “ding, dong” goes the bell.
When I am feeling most a wreck,
I shut my eyes for just a speck,
Of time until I feel I’ve slept.
And cleared my head of all the mess.
