how much to charge for writing a company song?

Guys,

A company want me to write a company song for them... this will be my first business project.. :) (my previous projects were either personal or church work) so I dunno how to quote them....

my work will comprise music & lyric, arrangement and recording... what is the standard rate guys?

Dobro, would especially wants to hear from you, as I want to know Singapore's rate..... :)

I was out of work, and needed to pay the bills so I sold a Jingle for $50.00 one time....

I'd normally charge $200 to $500 for a full song including all rights to future renditions.

How long is the song?

In Thailand, advertisement jingles usually cost about US$800-1000 for the whole song (I think.)

Standard rates for a commercial/pop song on an album is:

Lyrics: 5000 baht = us$120
Melody: 5000 baht = us$120
Arrangement: 10000baht = us$240
Production fees = 10000-20000 baht = us$200-400 (not sure)
