AKG K 271 MKII Closed-back Headphones

AKG K 271 MKII Closed-back Headphones - trying to find some good headphones for recording me singing. I have and like the 240's so I'm leaning this way. Plus the cat chewed my old Koss headphones.
Feedback/opinions/alternatives/favorites. Looking at 200 or so...

I am a former user of Sennheiser HD280s which my friend's dog chewed up.. and now I've used the K271s since then (about 5 months ago).

The headphones are really comfortable, have that fancy switch which allows them to stop producing sound when you take them off, and they do sound very nice.

They have these at L and M here in Edmonton so I'm going to pick up a pair. My wife says it would be good for my birthday which is next month...

Picked them up at half price - my buddy Mike paid for half as contribution to my birthday! Now I have to wait until Dec 12th to open them.
