Being 16 should not worry you. You have plenty of time to learn to sing if you want to. However......you do need to learn. Take some lessons and get some professional assistance / advice.

On the other hand.........and not to be terribly pointed here........but if you listen to your recorded singing and you have difficulty "hearing" the weaknesses in your performance......you may not be a candidate as a vocalist in the future.

I am CONSTANTLY AMAZED at how so many people do not hear many issues with their singing. I know we've had this conversation before on this forum so I'll stop there.

On another note.......I have to get some therapy help. I HAVE to stop responding to these "Can I Sing" posts.

By the time you learn that loose is not tight
then you may have found that you did not lose your voice at all but just had not matured enough yet.

The OP has been here a few times before...under a different forum handle.
It's always the same thing...the posting of screechy, off-pitch, howling vocals.

I am convinced he is just trolling, because it's always the same thing...so don't waste your time with serious singing advice.

You have a music teacher???? And he or she says you have a rock voice? What???? Has he or she actually heard you try to sing? Is your music teacher related to you by any chance? That could explain things. Listen.........in this current song you attached your singing is terrible. No lie. So....I guess you are one of those people who will never know how bad their singing truly is. Some people are born tone deaf it seems. By the way.........why do yo go to a music teacher? Are they teaching you an instrument by any chance. If they are.......stick with that.

And....if you're just trolling us / me.......I'm done with this post.

No. But do get ear training. first!

all teachers say good stuff about everybody.

hire a voice teacher for one session
it might even be free if you say you are considering lessons
and see what they tell you about your voice if you really care
