window angles

I see a lot of studios tilt the window between control room and live room downwards.

wouldnt tilting it upwards be more better coz sound reflects upwards and a trap can be installed on the ceiling to absorb it.

if it tilts downwards what would it do?

or is it just personal preference?

I believe the consensus is, unless your glass is absolutely huge, the tilting of the glass is only for the purpose of glare reduction.
Pointing it upwards makes it worse.
I know there are those that say parallel glas can set up resonating frequecies...etc, etc, but unless you are talking a wall of glass I don't believe it is that critical.

That's all exactly right. Don't bother angling the glass.
