Tex,
Owens Corning never did squat for me in terms of giving me suppliers. So, I started calling insulation suppliers on my own. Eventually, I found a kind-hearted soul who took pity on me and sold me a mere 6 boxes of 10 sheets of 2" OC703. Given that these panels are used by the assload for insulating warehouse sized facilities, mine was a minor order. It helped that I live near two interstates and they could drop them by when they happened to have extra room in the truck.
My advice is play the weekend warrior pity card, don't start talking like a hippie musician. The supplier ain't gonna make any money off you, so he/she's gotta do it as a charitable act.
BTW, I live in central North Carolina and my supplier was North Brothers in Raleigh.
