Here is a picture of my current setup... figuring out what size sound proofing would be optimal? I lose a lot of bass from the room.. i'm in a bassment with medium thickness carpet. the walls are just dry wall without any insulation.. for reference, the monitors there are both 23 inch screens.. for your pro's in here.. what size traps and where would be optimal? sorry if i am leaving not enough information! let me know... thanks ahead of time!
"Sound proofing" is not the term you are looking for. You need acoustic treatment in the room!
I would recommend to treat the first reflection points, along with bass trapping the four main corners in the room. You can see a general layout here: Acoustical Room Advice - GIK Acoustics
