I am a newcomer to this forum and this being my first post I would try to be as simple as possible. Having moved countries, I now intend setting up my studio whose equipment and software list is enormous and is built around three PCs. The equipment range from the 12 year old SB Awe32 to the current EMU1212M and Wami Rack 192X. I will do a later post on the setup.
For the present I would like to understand a few tips if anyone can provide to me:
1. How best should I link up my Studiomaster Club 2000-102 mixer (brilliant preamps and EQs) as a submixer to the new generation Xenyx 2442FX? The 8 direct outs of the xenyx are fed through Behringer compressors into a Behringer ADA8000 which drives an ADAT input on the EMU1212M. I have two other Behringers for outputing 2496 from any kind of signal so would be useful for converting the Boss BR-600, the AWE32, the Montego II and so on....
2. What should be the main fader position on the sub?
3. Floor and table space being premium in this expensive city how best to arrange my stuff?
