I need to get this room treated. It's hurting my mixes. My monitors are under this akward little alcove of wood. There is no treatment at all in this room and I'm looking for suggestions on where to start.
When I listen to commercial songs I notice that the cymbals and guitars sound bright and harsh. A lot of people tell me my mixes have low end clarity problems. Lots of mud. When I walk around the room, the bass sticks out more at certain areas of the room than others. In general, the bass and kicks on commercial mixes sound pretty powerful and present in my room. Where should I start? Thanks!
