Low Cost Desk Design ($50-$60)

Here are some (long awaited) photos of my most recent Workstation/Desk build.
I did some modifications to it for the sake of ergonomics and painted it.
As far as cost is concerned:
The monitor shelf is edge glued pine and runs about $11.00
The desktop is also edge glued pine and is just under $30.00
The rest is essentially 2X6s, 2X4's, 2X2's, 1X2's, wood screws and paint.
A computer keyboard tray would be extra.

Do you think it will be strong enough?
Oh yes!
I have engineered supports under the desktop and you can easily see the 2X4 support (on the photos above) under the monitor shelf.
The edge-glued panels are definitely less expensive but not very supportive for heavy equipment.
However, I determined that it would cost much less overall to use 2X2s and 1X2s for the desktop support and a 2X4 for the monitor sheld support as opposed to buying higher lumber for the desktop and monitor shelf.

Looks great!

Don't worry, it won't look that tidy for long. :)
