I think the forum wants to know what gear you have, what size the space is, and what materials are in place.
What's the floor made of, how high are the ceilings, cavity walls? Single skin? Block? Brick? Plastered walls? Sheeted? Insulated?

What do you want to record? Bands? solo guys? What instruments? Electric? Acoustic?
Loud amps or software sims?
Live tracking or separate overdubs?
Separate rooms within the space?
Do you have any acoustic treatment?

Do you own anything yet? Do you have any experience? Are there any pre-requesits? Maybe you're a mac guy? Maybe it has to be all analog?

What's your goal? Commercial radio domination? A demo for your mom and a few pals?

What's your budget?
Where do you live?
