Unfortunately i dont have money right now to build this the proper way. Basically im building a normal room, planning on acoustic traps to balance it out, recording demos for my band only. Im using pro tools 7.4.2 with a digi002. When I get more money i plan on making the room with a door on the left (5th picture) an isolation booth, and the room on the right a storage closet for dead cases, gear, etc. Im only looking to spend about $2k for right now. I really just want to get in and start recording. We are getting a natural gas heater to mount on the wall, and a window unit air conditioner. I live in the country so being quiet isnt an issue. I plan on the platform (first picture) to be a mixing area, and keep the back wall open. Im posting a picture with dimensions tomorrow.
Im really just looking for any basic advice you have for someone like me who has no idea. So far Ethan Winer and kermitmusic have been a HUGE help.
