I have the original iPad which you can find cheap. Used price currently ~$100
I'm sure the other os tablets are fine also.
Great for so many things, but the best for me is portability.
Don't know why it feels so much more portable than a laptop, but it does.
Can bring an entire audio recording studio in a tiny bag to record in different spaces.
And using the touch screen to move virtual sliders and knobs is a pretty good compromise to bridge the gap between software and hardware.

And that's just for audio recording.
it does so much more.

of course, like all screens, it can turn you in to a zombie if you let it.

YO Zorf!

Cool...

What apps ya using and have you got any recordings you have done you can share here?

For pure audio recording (which is what I mostly do making live classical concert recordings) I use Presonus Capture app and then wifi transfer the files onto Studio One Pro for mixdown on my laptop. iPad recording made me ditch Zoom R24 altogether and I now use Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 to make recordings. It's great - so much less hassle and convenient. I'd encourage more tablet recording...

Haven't had a chance to look at Cubasis more closely but I'm sure it works wonders.
