What's wrong with this track?

That was fun, thanks! Honestly, that's pretty much what it sounds like when you close mike a cranked Marshall. I was kinda surprised at how close to the same Malcolm's track sounds. I honestly don't think it sounds all that bad. The top end is really weird. A lot of that is bleed from the drums, some room sound and tape hiss all completely fucked by the mpeg compression. Are these available in .wav or some lossless format somewhere?

Did you listen to the solo track? The ending solo is really funny. You can hear all of these really bad punch ins (or tape splices or whatever) where it sounds like he's in the middle of a word in the middle of a sentence and them changes the topic altogether, complete with pops at the in and out points and everything!
 
Yeah, it's not exactly the most hi-fi album to begin with. That's kinda what high voltage rock and roll sounds like, though. If it sounded nice, we'd call it RnB or something...
