I can't decide... I need a sound card if Im going to buy a normal one... Is it worth it? What's the difference?
Im going to use this mic for vocals...
Are there any condenser mics that are good for vocals and that are under 200?

So.. should I get a USB one or normal one with a sound card?

thank you!:)

Definitely get a condenser with xlr out instead of usb. Yes you will need an interface but you wont be sorry after going that route because you will have so much more versatility when it comes to making music. Personally I dont think the analog to digital conversion on usb mics is super great. MXL makes a wide variety of microphones under 200. There are dozens of condensers under 200. Just gonna have to go to a music store and figure out what setup you like the best.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from usb mics and adapters.
They're made mostly for podcasting (internet chat radio)
Not as good analog>digital converters (cheaper chips)
You'll have problems monitoring for track overlays
you wont be able to use anything else with it (asio only lets you use 1 device at a time)
short usb cords will put more computer noise into recordings

Get a regular usb interface and regular mics.

A 2-channel $80-100 USB interface and a Shure sm-57 or 58 is a good starter.

You have not mentioned what you will be recording -as has been said, start slow and avoid USB mics completely unless you are just doing podcasting.

I would stay away from USB mics.

Get a proper one with a sound card.

The CEntrance MicPort Pro is a great little USB sound card that will do high quality up to 24/96 and includes a decent headphone amp. for monitoring.

Then just use the mic. of your choice.
