so i own an audio technica at4040 and a tascam mkii 122 , very rarly will my recordings sound nice warm and silky, but most of the damn time it sounds dry and annoying sounding..... what do you think could be doing this to my recordings.... the room acoustics? my mic or my interface.... its got me going crazy because i do alot of double tracking for rap vocals and my voice needs to be warm silky sounding in order for it to sound good because my voice is real harsh.
ive tried soo much ive even compressed the hell out of my recordings to make it sound smoother and it just dont work very well , ive eq'd like crazzy aswell and nothing
