Singer songwriter live recordings. What do you guys do to capture a singer songwriters guitar and vocals at the same time. Using 2 mic's, one on the guitar and one on the voice (or you could get fancy and stereo the guitar).

What do you do in a situation like this? How do you try to get less leakage? How do you mike the guitar ? I've never gotten to really read about anyone doing this so I'd like to know how some of you do it. Thanks a lot, Eric Gieg

in a nick drake documentary, an engineer of nick was in a studio with the original tracks of his.

it had him showing us just the guitar track and just the vocal track, and then mixing the two

they just used a guitar mic and a vocal mic. it seemed the guitar mic brightened up the voice, and the vocal mic helped out the guitar.

i've done stereo micing with a vocal mic and it turning out pretty good alone.
