recording from mixing desk to laptop

i wonder how i can record from that mixing desk http://www.dynacord.com/en/products/7/5/30/104_cms1000.html to my laptop without losing much quality. please somebody help me...
what do i need exactly? which software? perhaps cubase?
im not trying to become a pro in a few hours but simply to be able to record my band.

You need a multi-input soundcard and a sequencing program (Cubase is great, REAPER is cheaper)

Go see Tweak's Guide at www.tweakheadz.com
he has all the basic info, a soundcard guide and even
an article on how to hook up a mixer to one.

Go to the bookstore... lots of recording books and magazines (Computer Music, MusicTech) out there with info and yes even FREE software!
