Phantom Power for Mic when using an effects unit

I have just bought a RODE NT2A CONDENSER MIC.

I will be recording with it onto a TASCAM DP008-EX

Between these two, I will have a BOSS VE-5 VOCAL PERFORMER.

Should I turn the phantom power setting to 'ON' on both the Boss unit and the Tascam Multitrack Recorder,

or should only one of these be switched on?

    Thank you.

Just turn on the phantom on the Boss VE-5. No need to have phantom power turned on on the Dp-008 as the VE-5 does not need it.

You only need to turn on the phantom power on the Boss unit. That unit will provide the proper line output to your Tascam.
