Optimum vocal environment

Hi,
I'm trying to figure WHERE best to record vocals. I know it's all down to what your ears like best but ideally where would be the best place to record vocals as deadly as possible.

I have a walk in cupboard that has uneven walls, a slanted ceiling as it's in the attic which at it's height is only about 6 inches above my head when standing in it; I can open both arms almost straight out to either side. There is space for me to stand in and place the microphone and apart from that it's pretty much full with clothes which should also deaden the sound, right?

I see many posts about recording techniques but not that many about the actual environment people record in. What are the ideal dimensions and deadening effects for a vocal booth; should the above serve me well/what could I do to enhance it?

Thanks,
Krystof.
