Can you provide more info about what you are doing, what you're needs are...what other gear you are incorporating, etc...?
A mixer can be very useful...but certainly not necessary for everyone...and the type of mixer (size, capability, quality) may vary depending on your needs and how you will be using it.
The Presonus is nice...you should also check out the new TASCAM Model 24...very old-school looking, but with all modern features.
