Fellow Banner Exchangers:
I'am new in the recording industry and my questions are
which type of"" HIGH-QUALITY""!!! sound car should I get if I'am using equipment such as the Akai MPC-2000 drum machine?

Since I only use beats to record should I get a compressor to smooth out vocals during the recording or mixing down process?

Which DAT machine would you recommend me to get? I'am planning on buying the Tascam DA-45HR Master DAT Recorder which has 24 bit resolution for recording.

Hey E-nice:

Before buying a compressor, try to listen to one at a dealer; I have one sitting in my storage room because I couldn't really find it very beneficial for vocals. I do use a mic pre-amp which runs into my Yamaha MD-8 which also has a nice set of amps.

There are units that contain D-essers plus compression; I also have a de-esser sitting in storage in my basement. However, the d-esser can help if you have a lisping vocalist. Hope this helps. Listen to stuff and evaluate its function before you buy.
