Any Zoom G3 users?

Does anyone here have any experience with the Zoom G3 for recording? I need something that I can connect directly into my Tascam DP-02 8 track for recording guitar. I heard clips on You Tube and while some are pretty good I'd like to hear from those who may have used one. I also don't have a whole lot of money to spend and the price seems reasonable.

Or any other suggestions?

I don't have a G3 but I do have an R24 which I believe has a G2 inside. I routinely record direct using the high z input and internal effects when recording late at night. The presets like everyone elses are mostly over the top, but with some minor tweaking it sounds pretty good.
 
I have the G2.1u. I really like it. I like all of the effects and the distortions. There are only two things I don't like with it. One is the onboard compression. I just don't like much how it sounds. I have it turned off for most of my patches. The other is that it's stereo output only, but it looks like the G3 can do either.
