wav sample pack

i just downloaded a sample pack full of wav files. there seems to be two different wavs for each sample. one of which opens with windows media player and can be dragged directly into my DAW. the other seems to do neither. the only differnce in properties i see is their sizes, one being 3.62mb (usable) the other 70 bytes (seemingly worthless).

what is the smaller wav for?

im not worried about the virus theory... i wear a condom at all times, dont know why i just always have.

you could be right about one set being for mac.
there were three packs to choose from: acidized wavs (which i chose)
rex loops
apple loops

It's possible that the wavs that work are normal wavs, and the ones that don't are acidized and will probably only work in Acid.

hey man, I use a lot of sample banks, most of the time, they will include an extra folder for "apple loops" or "rex" files, for ther sequencers and daws, like Garageband/Logic. If one is working, you can probably just delete the others, make a backup just in case tho.
