US/UK equipment query

Sorry...a really dumb question coming up...

If I were to buy a product from a US store (probably Computer Audio in this case), would it work in the UK? The plug would presumably be a problem, but would the thing work with an adapter? What I want to pick up is a Fostex hard disc recorder, FWIW!

Depends on the transformer. Some bits of kit will happily run on either 240V or 110V others will not.

If it is a "not" then you will need both a step up (or down) transformer and a plug adapter.

The differance in frequancy should not be a problem.
