Unable to Side-chain

In Reaper 6.18, I'm using the MDrumReplacer plugin. It has a 'Subtract side-chain' feature but I've been unable to get it to function. I'm waiting to hear back from MeldaProductions....

'Hello everyone. Ive been trying to get the Subtract side-chain feature working. So far, I believe the routing is correct, the Global Meter shows In, Side and Out are all three receiving a signal but when I click on Subtract side-chain nothing changes. I have allot of bleed on my Snare track from the Tom. In Reaper 6, I have a Send from my Tom to the Snare, Audio 1/2 -> 3/4 and the I/O on the UI indicates 4 in 2 out. Any ideas? Thanks'

Sidechain seems pretty straight forward, am I missing something?

Try the following:

1 Put Reacomp on the snare track
2 Select a snare preset
3 Set 'Detector input' to 'Auxilliary input L+R'
4 On the snare track add a new receive and select the tom track
5 Receive audio from 1/2 to 3/4
6 Click on post fader and select prefader.
7 Play the track
8 Pull the tom track fader right down
9 Adjust the threshold in Reacomp so that it is below the leve of the singal coming in from the Toms.

You should then be able to hear the effect ofthe side-chaing.

10 Bring up levels on tom track to taste.

Thank you Gecko, I appreciate the reply, I’ll give it go.
