The problem seems to be the belt drive that controls the right cassette spool, if you follow me. Machine tries to engage but the tape doesn’t quite turn and mechanism shuts off.
I’ve been following Dr Zee’s repair tutorials, which are great but stop after capstan and reel-mechanism drive belt, which I have now replaced. Flywheel working.
There are two final belts need replacing, I have new ones ready. Need advice on dismantling transportation block so I can access them.
If I just start taking screws out here and there I fear I’ll end up with things dropping out of alignment...
Any advice or clues would be very welcome.
