Static when I adjust Volume

I get static noise (independent of using DAW) when I turn my volume knob. It stops when I stop turning.

It is happening in both my KRK Monitors, and in my Headphones. I use my Lexicon Omega as my Computer's Soundcard, and have for years now.

I was thinking a bad chord, who knows. It's not a constant static, just when I turn the volume knob. It's loud, though.

dirty volume pod clean it.
You should take care and cover it when not in use.Is it a dusty environment ? hopefully you surly don't smoke in the same room? Etc....

yup...sounds like a dirty volume pot. Get some good contact cleaner and clean it. Should do the trick.
Also beer is very hard on electronics.

The volume is on my lexicon omega. I'll look up how to clean it.

I dont smoke in here, and it's 9 out of 10 in terms of being clean.

My Omega's gettin old. Poor ole' guy.
