Im interested in constructing an isolation booth...

Not an isolation booth that necessarily makes my sound quality any better, but one that prevents any transmission of sound. Im not recording instruments, just vocals. Im curious as too what I should be looking for, something that would prevent my vocals from being heard outside of the booth, as I have issues with anxiety that make me work most efficently with the knowledge that only my 8 track and my ears hear what Im recording, until maybe some success with that I can gain some confidence to get beyond this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

thanks, geoff

I have never used an isolation booth, however, if anxiety is your only concern, then you could try this : The person who does vocals for my band used to be very shy. What we did to get him to sing along to prerecorded tracks was hang a blanket from a hook in the ceiling and have him stand under it, so he cannot see anyone else. This created a sense of security, and a feeling that no one could hear hi so he sang a lot more confidently and better.
