Need help with Focusrite Solo and Microphone Settings...

So I have everything set up (focusrite solo, mic, guitar). I am able to record in a DAW without any issues and change the reverb settings. HOWEVER, when I use another program like OBS where I can video record, the program recognizes focusrite but when I record there is horrible reverb happening. Does Focusrite have a standard setting for reverb? If so how do I change it?

Do you have speakers plugged in for monitoring when using a microphone? IF so, that's the problem, you need to mute the speakers and use headphones.

What Mike said and...

See the 'speaker' icon in attached? That is from Samplitude but virtually all DAWs have such a monitor button and if engaged can, in some circumstances give an echo effect.

Also check the PC's Sound Devices panel and make sure "Loop Through" is defeated.

On my W7 living room PC which I use to listen to BBC radio, I have to right click the speaker icon, btm right by the clock and then Volume Mixer then stop Stereo Mix otherwise I too get a horrible reverby echo.

Dave.
