Need help burning the master copy

Hi there.
I am in the process of burning the master copy of a CD and I'm running into trouble. I want all songs to have the 2 second gap between them, except for the first track (a spoken intro) and the second track (actual first song). I'm using Nero 6, but somehow, when I set it up to remove the break from Track 1 (and/or set up track 2 to "crossfade" with track 1 with a 0 second crossfade time), Nero bounces back and says its re-configuring the layout and adding the 2 second break between the intro and the second track, and burns the disc as such

What do you recommend I do here??

Do you have Nero Sound Trax in your nero folder in the start menu? Use that if you do. I have Nero 7 Ultra, and use SoundTrax to do the track layouts, and positioning of track numbers, and all that, it may not be pro, but it works for me.
