Laptop for basic acoustic and vox

Hi
My laptop has 6gb ram and 64 bit processor. It's a Lenovo and I've linked it up with a solo Scarlett interface and reaper software. However, when I try and record vox separately I get lots of latency. I can't seem to solve this. Any help appreciated. I'm a newbie.

Can you give more specifics about the processor, like the base speed and processor model? A 1.3gHz Celeron is a 64bit processor but will struggle to do full blown audio recording.

What sample rate and buffer size are you running? Those things will determine the round trip latency. Also, you should be able to set the Solo with "zero latency" which actually loops back in the interface without going to the computer first.
