i just got a pre-amp..what..do i put it on..for output..an input

it records..WAYYYY to LOOUUUDDD..i want..it u kno..where its..middle..sound, what should..i set it at...

it got -24 input, then it goes to 60+ input

then on ouput in goes..to 10+..

its a suckie pre-amp..its Art-Tube MPstudioV3

u kno whats..a decent settin..i got a StudioWorks LD1 condensor microphone..

I have used the Tube MP and it worked great, good sound. Start out by turning the output knob all the way down. Now sing into the mic (6 to 12 inches away ) while turning up the input until the green light starts glowing orange, then back off the vol a touch. Now, while singing,
turn up the output while watching the levels on yor recorder. you should always record as hot as possible without clipping, you can always back off the faders later. Hope this helps.
