Hi everyone, can the fc-50 be used as a sound effects pedal without any other pedals? can it be used without connecting a midi cable?(that's a boss FC-50)

No, A Midi controller can't do anything all on it's own. The only function a MIDI controller was made for was to control another device via MIDI which is why it's called a MIDI controller.
If you had a V-amp or a Pod you could change presets with it. Or if you had a Multi effects rack unit you could control effects with it.
