DP-24 SD Having Trouble Understanding Punch in Punch out settings

Hi,
I'm sure I am just not understanding something stupid, but when I read the DP-24 SD user manual for punch in and punch out using the "In-Out" method- setting points.
It says to set the punch in by hitting AUTO PUNCH button, then select each option and set it, Hit F4, and you're done. I don't understand how this sets your in and out points.

Am I completely missing the boat here?

Yep - it's not written well and a little unclear in the manual.



To set "in" point: hold "Mark Set" down and then press "In"

To set "out" point: hold "Mark Set" down and then press "Out"
