Hi, i was just reading through a thread and remembered that a while ago I had also wanted to turn off direct monitorin, but never quite found out how. But one post I saw turned a light on in my head. there is a fader labelled 2-TR/USB RTN which I sometimes use for volume when playing back, and it hit me. My problem was that I couldnt hear the metronome in ableton when recording drums, so: I turn this fader up to full, turn the headphones down, mute the drum track I'm recording to in ableton. If I'm correct then most of what I hear from the drums will be the actual drums not what the mics pick up, and I will not be changing the volume it records at.
Am I correct and will this work?
