If you want to use an Integra 7/Motif module in Garageband/Logic with an interface......
does an electric guitar go DI into the Integra or the interface??and controller keyboard goes USB to Integra USB..??? and since the interface has only 1 usb you go from the Integra
to the interface with a 5 pin midi..yes/no??

Roland integra 7?

USB carries sound, midi maps, or sample storage to the DAW. It needs a Midi controller like the A-49/A-88 that supports the Supernatural engine. Plug the Midi 5 pin out into the midi in on the Integra 7.

The A-49/A-88 will then need a separate power supply.

Keyboard controller goes to computer via USB
Guitar goes to interface
Interface goes to computer via USB
Integra goes to computer via USB
Integra audio goes to interface inputs

Midi is goes to the DAW via USB, and should be selectable as a midi input device.

The Integra is driven by midi coming from the DAW via USB, either from the controller, or from pre-recorded midi loaded into the DAW. The Inegra shold be selectable as a midi output device.

Audio from the Integra, which is generated from incoming midi, goes from line outputs of the Integra into the interface so that you can either record it as audio tracks, or simply play it through your monitors.

I note that the Integra appears to have DIN midi in and out. So an alternative is to connect it via DIN to the interface (so long as the interface has DIN midi). The same principle applies: you should be able to select the interface as a midi output device.

682, Gecko's way is better. That way you can use the interfaces ASIO drivers and keep that a constant. Changing ASIO's will affect volume of tracks. Keep it all the same.
