Complete Newbie

Hello everyone,
I am brand new at computer recording.I mean I am green!I don't even understand the basics much less the terminology involved Are there any articles or what not I can read to get me started.I have an audio interface,and I have Reaper as my software,but I'm lost help!

I would invest a few dollars in this book (link below)...It is pretty straight-forward, even for those who know very little about recording (even more so than the "For Dummies" book, which I also recommend). Hopefully by the end, you will have a better idea of the basics and terminology to help you move forward.

I encourage you to do some reading of this site. Go through the "Newbies" and "Recording techniques" sections. There'll be lots that may go over your head or won't tickle your fancy..........but there'll be more, in the long term, that will.

Yes, the posts at the top of the Newbies section is a good place to start. Those sticky articles are intended to be entry-level and informative for newcomers.

You're in the right place. Just ask and people here will be happy to help you. You might also look for tutorials on Youtube. Just type in what you want to know about with the word tutorial at the end. You might start at Into the Lair and Recording Revolution. Good Luck,
