Ok, how's this one.
I've been working on getting this little shortie down. Keep forgetting the words (old age?) so this morning, I set up a couple of mics (Studio Projects B3 on guitar at 12th fret and MXL V67G for vocal). I did a few hand claps so you could hear the "echo" of the room (basement, 2 paneled walls, 2 stucco, carpet and drop ceiling... nothing fancy).
That's WAY better sound than I get from MY V67G. What's your pre?
That sounds much better, better control and more air on the highs. I think its closer to what you want. You just need to play with the mic to find the sweet spot for that guitar. FWIW, mine is a Taylor 310ce. I like the Taylor sound vs a Martin because they are a bit more "crisp"
I didn't even consider putting the B3 into omni mode. I have used the pair before in MS configuration but that was years ago.
