i want to wire my bass pod pro into a patchbay and through to the mixing desk via a (spliter cable)??? (balanced jack to two mono send and return)
but when i try to do this i get like digital pulsing ,morse code sound in the back ground , the bass pod has a balanced xlr on the back .

could i put an xlr lead to a balanced jack into the patchbay ,if a lead like this exsits and would this work.

or is there somthing i'm doing wrong that is creating this noise.

thanking anybody in advance .

There is a 1/4" jack on the back of your Bass Pod that says 'model out'.

This is where you should plug in a TRS 1/4" cable. Although the signal that comes out of that plug is unbalanced, the two connectors in the plug will not come into contact with the 'R' or 'ring' of a TRS cable.

The reason that you need a TRS cable comes at the other end of the wire -- the patchbay. Assuming it is a balanced 1/4" patchbay just plug the other end into the preferred patchbay point and away you go.
