best ,user friendly program ?

What is the best easy to use home recording program? Preferbly one set up like an old analog recorder.Tried n-tracks but the users manual left too much stuff out, plus used a lot of tech jargon.I know this opens up a whole can of worms, but I want to ENJOY recording, instead of being frustrated. Thanx.
 
try powertracks(pgmusic.com). I downloaded the demo, and it seems to work just fine and it's not too hard to figure out. It's cheap to buy, too (around $50.00).
