I was just about to buy my first sound card - playing it safe I thought plumping for an Audiophile 2496. Then I noticed the Audiophile 192 with the balanced 1/4" connections.
I have a fair idea of the difference between balanced & unbalanced but it seems such a minefield what can & can't be connected together that I'm now wondering if there is any downside to getting the 192.
My system is pretty modest:-
Advent 3115
AMD Athlon 2600+
XP HOME
512 MB DDR
60 GB HD
Soundcraft FX8 mixer
Korg X5D
Omar 502 monitors/Quad 405-2 amp
Auratone nearfields
