Absolute Low end recording- i need HELP!!!!

recently, i purchased some drums. i have a guitar, two amps, an overdrive pedal, a distortion pedal, a boombox with a built in microphone. the boombox is a dual cassette. is there any way i can get a quality recording for singing, drums and giutar? how?

Go to radioshack, put $20 into a 4 channel mixer, and pick up some adapters too. Send everything through the mixer, into your boom box. You'll have to experiment with levels and mic positions, but if you are resourseful and creative, you can get a decent quality recording.

Do all of the music first; then, on one or two tracks, do the vocal. This method will let you concentrate on the vocal when you need to focus.

I always do the music first in my studio and then the vocal.

For some fun, you can take any old standard tune, pipe it into your recording set up and then write your own words. Kind of fun to use a big orchestra playing 'UNDER MY SKIN' and then use a few other words to make a comedy sketch.

Be inventive and have fun.
