I shall try,
First assuming Win 7 and you have some headphones that will go into the mixer? Do you have a source of "noise" e.g. a mic to plug into the mixer?
With mic attached does waffle produce signal indication on the mixer's LED meters? If not, read the manual and get that sorted.
When you plug USB into PC you usually get "Device found, installing drivers" or at least some indication that the PC has "seen" the USB mixer. If so, go> btm right by clock and find the Sound Menu (wee speaker icon) This will give you options for a record and playback device. You want the mixer as both of course but it could be shown as "USB CODEC DEVICE" or "USB MICROPHONE" basically NOT an internal sound device.
Next step is to set recording levels. Playback levels can usually be left at max but REC might need to be cranked down from 100% to 5% ish.
