I've been battling with WMM under XP for a couple of years & get so far into a project before finding it freezes and I have to shut down the comp & reboot to get going again only to find it happens again & again.
I did a fair bit of research into the problem & the best fix I've found, thus far, is a Windows HotFix that can be downloaded for free.
It's called windowsxp-kb969395-x86-enu.exe
It would appear that WMM is preset to accept only 100 transitions or pieces etc in a single project. The HotFix ups this to 200. Not a great fix but better than nothing. I played a recent offending project & had NO TROUBLE tonight. This may all change tomorrow. However, we'll see what comes when it comes
I'd appreciate any ideas about better, more stable FREE vid editors if you have them.
