A Track for you 60's Rock Fans

Once again, this was a well written, arranged, and perfomed tune but the mix/ recording doesn't do it much justice. The drums seem to be to distant- muffled. (sounded like just two (one?) overhead mics on the whole kit) The cymbals are running all over the place in the mix. The guitar tone and the bass seemed to meld in quite a few places making it quite muddy on the low end. I liked the VOX ALOT...great sound. The keys blended quite well and filled things up quite nice. The chorus was real catchy. Really loved the synth solo and backwards guitar parts. IMO the drums really didn't have any presence except for the cymbals which had too much.

Great song....I would love to hear better recording/mix of it.

These are just one man (and his plant) opinions.
