Not sure any of this one is gonna see the light of day, as I am snowblind and deep in the tundra of riff-blur...

Tonally, it sounds pretty good to me, although I'm really not much of a head-banger. And you made me drop my scrambled eggs in my lap.

Are those microphones some type of sm57 clone? Like a Pyle? Are they a lot cheaper? Because it seems like you can't get much less expensive than an SM57.

Have you tried other stereo configurations? I know next to nothing about stereo dynamic configurations on an amp, but I do see a lot of variations.

Uh oh, got some zygote on your coat.

Yeah, they are Pyle 57 clones. I got em' on amazon for $10 each and then I added some SM57 transformers for $10.50 each. Shure SM 57's are like $90-$100, so the mod'd Pyle cheapos are pretty decent for ~$20 each.

Yeah. I've tried lots of mic setups. For just busting out demo ideas this dual-mic fredman setup on a 8" practice amp speaker works well enough.

Wow! That's pretty impressive considering you are using such basic stuff. It almost makes me think twice about pulling my wallet out and buying expensive gear. Maybe I'll buy a soldering iron instead.

I kind of liked the alt version. But when it was soloed both versions, didn't sound as good. But when it was in the mix really sounded good.

I agree. I changed it to the 'favored version'

I does a pretty cool growl. The amp's onboard distortion that I am using has a slight reverb that I can't eliminate which really makes things sound weird when separate guitars are tracked for L-R hard-pans...
